Bitcoin FilmFest is a Bitcoin-Only project that debuted in March 2023 by running the world’s first large-scale Bitcoin film festival (aka BFF) in Warsaw, Poland. [1] [2] [3]
Its success led to more events, called ‘mini editions’, held in Lisbon, Lugano, El Salvador, Cape Town, and recently in Funchal Madeira, bringing a cinematic touch to renowned conferences. Future events will be held regularly, both locally and abroad, where Bitcoin FilmFest will be a guest or host. Warsaw remains the official location of the main edition of BFF, the Bitcoin Film Festival, which happens every year in the capital of Poland. [1] [2]
We build bridges between art, culture, education. For critical thinkers and freedom-seekers, filmmakers and cinema buffs alike. (BFF Team) [1]
Bitcoin FilmFest goes beyond a series of events, no matter how great they are. It also serves as a networking platform, the Bitcoin Cinema Hub, that connects the influential minds in Bitcoin, art, and business — connecting creators, filmmakers, producers, and cinema fans. [1]
"We are a group of volunteers dedicated to supporting the growth of Bitcoin culture and independent cinema. In less than a year, we organized not only six cinematic events, but also became a dynamic hub that connects people, inspires, entertains and educates." - the team says [1]

The Bitcoin FilmFest, 2026, is set to be four days of films, music, stories, and real people — right in the heart of Warsaw. It is a global festival focused on cinema and culture in the Bitcoin era. This edition will feature ~7–13 handpicked films (including world premieres), an AI shorts competition, filmmaker Q&As, storytelling workshops, riverside events, panels, concerts, and more. Kinoteka turns into a buzzing space for filmmakers, Bitcoiners, artists, and freedom tech pioneers.
But it's not just about what's on screen — it’s about who’s in the room. BFF’26 brings together a community that’s intimate, creative, and open. Whether it's pitching a wild idea, jamming at an open mic, or engaging in real conversations over coffee — this is where Bitcoin culture comes alive.
