Orbis86 is an NFT project (with an NFT collection of 8686 3D customizable humanoid characters) focused on developing a connected gaming metaverse. It also provides Utility as a Service - starting with Gaming as a Service for the web3 industry of NFTs and memecoins. ^[1][2]

Overview

Orbis86 was founded by Soniya Ahuja in November 2021. As an NFT project, Orbis86 creates an ecosystem that bridges players across various gaming platforms, offering exclusive content and experiences through Strategy Play, Earn Games, and other initiatives. Utilizing NFTs, Orbis86 provides gamers with digital assets that can be collected, traded, and used within virtual environments. ^[3][4]

Orbis86 is on a mission to onboard a million people onto Web3. The organization focuses on using education, art, and entertainment to support marginalized communities and promote a more equitable world.

Through its media arm, The Silicon Dreams, Orbis86 brings attention to the challenges faced by excluded populations by creating comics and animated series that both entertain and empower individuals globally, leveraging the potential of Web3. ^[3]

Orbis86 Main NFT Collection

In the collection of 8686 NFTs, there are 86 Legendaries, 1000 Epics, and the remaining are Illustrious. For smaller collection sizes, the proportion of Epics and Illustrious will be scaled down, but there will always be 86 Legendaries and 86 Epics dedicated to Sigmas. ^[5]

The NFT collection has minted on both Hedera with 1111 NFTs. Orbis86 is a chain-agnostic project and the collection size of 8686 NFTs allows for a portable NFT pipeline in the future. The minting process for the NFTs on Hedera Sentient’s Launchpad platform took place on 16th February 2023. ^[5]

Sigma DAO

The Sigma DAO is an advisory council with 23 Sigma Ambassadors as part of it who help with their expertise. Additionally, the DAO decides on where the funds are to be allocated. 10% of primary sales and 5% of secondary sales royalty are allocated to the DAO treasury. 5% of primary sales and 5% of secondary sales royalty are leveraged to procure other blue and green chip NFTs and allocated to the DAO treasury. ^[6]

OWOW Token

The $OWOW (Orbis86 World of Web3) community token, capped at 860 million, was distributed through NFT rewards, social engagement, and a strategic trading card game, promoting accessibility, engagement, and interactive experiences within the ecosystem. ^[7]

Supply

$OWOW token is focused on gaming. It reserves 70% for the gaming community, enhancing user experiences. An additional 5% is allocated to the DAO, ensuring transparency and community-driven decisions. The team receives 5% to foster growth, and 10% is for marketing to drive adoption. Lastly, 10% incentivizes community participation, building a strong network around the $OWOW Token ecosystem. ^[7]
