Since February 2024, he has held the role of AI Engineer at Limitus, where his work involves fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) and diffusion-based image generation models. His responsibilities also include developing agentic frameworks designed for on-device automation tasks.
Between August and December 2023, Sathyan worked as a Research Assistant at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the United States. His research focused on 3D scene reconstruction from 2D images using Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) and Gaussian Splatting techniques. The work involved implementing algorithms to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of 3D map generation processes.
In 2023, he was employed as a Computer Vision Engineer at KritiLabs Technologies in India. During this period, he contributed to the development of a system for detecting unmarked legal parking spaces on Indian roads. The project utilized object detection models such as YOLOv7, along with OpenCV-based segmentation methods, to identify and classify parking spaces according to vehicle types.
From January to May 2023, Sathyan worked as a Backend Developer for Rochester Regional Health in the United States. His role involved developing backend components for a patient appointment scheduling system and creating data dashboards for monitoring hospital admission trends. The technical stack included Node.js, Express, and AWS DynamoDB.
Between 2019 and 2021, he served as a Data Engineer at KritiLabs Technologies. His work included building data pipelines and visualization tools for railway ridership analysis in India. This involved the use of React for front-end development, Python with Pandas and Matplotlib for data processing and visualization, and automation workflows implemented via GitHub Actions.
