Sidney Powell is an Australian fintech entrepreneur and the CEO and Co-Founder of Maple, a decentralized corporate credit marketplace that bridges institutional finance with decentralized finance (DeFi). He is based in Miami, Florida. [1]
Overview & Early Career
Powell began his career at National Australia Bank, where he held several roles across securitization, capital financing, and credit risk between 2014 and 2017. He later joined Angle Finance, initially serving as a Portfolio Manager before being appointed Treasurer, where he remained until 2020. Sidney Powell has professional working proficiency in French, and has also published research on global economic trends. In October 2020, Powell co-founded Maple and currently serves as its CEO. Under his leadership, Maple has become a prominent platform for institutional lending within the DeFi ecosystem, focusing on infrastructure for capital markets and secured credit. [1]
