Yohei Wakita is a Japanese entrepreneur and life scientist who serves as a director of Kudasai Co., Ltd., the company behind KudasaiJP. [1] Based in Tokyo, Japan, he holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences and combines an academic background in pharmacy and biology with executive roles across several companies in Japan's technology and Web3 sectors.[2]
Wakita completed his entire higher education at Kyoto University (京都大学) in Kyoto, Japan, across a decade of study. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (学士(薬学)) between 2004 and 2008, during which he took part in the university group EMBG.He continued into graduate study in the life sciences, obtaining a Master's degree in Life Sciences (修士(生命科学)) from 2008 to 2010. He then pursued doctoral research at the same institution, receiving a Ph.D. in Life Sciences (博士(生命科学)) in 2014 after four years of study beginning in 2010.[2]
Wakita holds directorships and executive positions at several Japanese companies simultaneously. In December 2020 he became the Representative Director and Chief Executive Officer (代表取締役CEO) of 株式会社TRUSELF, a role he has held since. In October 2021 he took on a directorship (取締役) at 株式会社infini, and the following year, in September 2022, he became a director of Kudasai.[2]
Kudasai Co., Ltd. was established in 2020 and operates KudasaiJP, which has been described as one of Japan's largest cryptocurrency communities. Wakita has been identified as a co-founder of Kudasai in addition to his directorship at the company.[1]
Wakita was scheduled to speak at a Web3 festival event held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, delivering a talk titled "How to drive Web3 user growth with the use of AI?" The session was set for 4:30 to 5:00 pm on 7 April on Stage 2 in room 5BCDE, with attendees invited to register in advance. In the event announcement he was presented under the X handle and described as a co-founder of Kudasai and a Life Science Ph.D., linking his scientific background to his work in cryptocurrency community building and the application of artificial intelligence to Web3 audience growth.[1]
