Pools

Pools is a token launchpad and trading platform built by Uniswap Labs that lets users create, discover, and trade end-to-end. [1] [2]

Overview

It was announced on August 6, 2026, that Pools operates on and the network, and is accessible at pools.xyz and pools.trade. [1][2] Its defining characteristic is that every token launched on the platform is issued as a standard Uniswap pool and immediately inherits Uniswap's distribution surface, making it discoverable and swappable across the wider Uniswap ecosystem from the moment of creation.[1]

The platform is designed exclusively for , defined by the operator as assets created purely for entertainment, social, and cultural purposes, and it charges no launchpad fees, relying instead on the liquidity-provider fees of the underlying Uniswap pools.[2][1] Pools functions as an on-chain venue where creators mint a fixed-supply token and traders buy, sell, and bid on those tokens directly through a browsable feed. The platform's associated account, , uses the display name "Pools" and the bio "A new way to launch and trade tokens," and joined the social platform in July 2026.[3]

Every token created on Pools ends its launch process in a Uniswap v4 pool, and both of the platform's launch methods begin from a fixed supply of one billion (1,000,000,000) tokens.[1] Tokens that have appeared on the platform include Hookr.fun, Prologue, frong, Maxi, Crossbow, pools.trade, swappy, BTCX, FROGE, and many smaller and newly created listings such as LeBron James Meme Coin, MintKitty, and GRUMPY.[2]

Launch Modes

Crowd Launch

Crowd Launch distributes a token over a four-hour window rather than opening trading instantly. Participants submit a budget, and their bids fill gradually over the remainder of the window, with the price moving in response to demand so that earlier bids receive better prices. Every budget fills in full by the end of the window. A launch becomes tradable only if it reaches a fully diluted value (FDV) of $10,000 — the theoretical value of the entire supply at the launch price — and if the launch falls short of that threshold, all orders are refunded.[1] After a Crowd Launch graduates, participants claim their tokens once the launch ends.[1]

Instant Launch

Instant Launch makes a token live immediately upon creation. Its price rises as people buy, and users can swap in and out at any time.[1] To trade under either model, users browse the feed on pools.trade, buy a token or bid on a Crowd Launch, and claim tokens once a graduated Crowd Launch concludes.[1]

Fees and Liquidity Mechanics

Each pool on the platform launches as a standard Uniswap pool carrying a 0.25% liquidity-provider (LP) fee, which is 25 basis points (bps). Rather than being extracted, that fee autocompounds — it is reinvested back into the locked position so that the pool's liquidity grows over time. Uniswap Labs contrasted this 0.25% fee with an asserted standard fee of roughly 1% charged by other launchpads.[1]

Liquidity on Pools is permanently locked. Tokens are placed in a protocol-held pool that the creator cannot remove, which is intended to prevent a creator from withdrawing liquidity after launch.[1] The platform also implements what it calls sniping mitigation: creators buy in the same in which the token is launched, so that automated "snipers" cannot be the first to acquire a newly launched token.[1]

Creators may enable an optional fee at launch. When enabled, the creator receives 0.05% out of the 25 bps fee, meaning the creator earns a portion of the on that token and therefore holds a financial interest in its trading activity. [1]

POOLS Token

Among the launched on the platform is a token tied to the project itself, listed variously as Trade Pools and pools.trade and trading under the ticker $POOLS. Consistent with the platform's fixed-supply model, $POOLS has a total supply and maximum supply of one billion (1,000,000,000) tokens.[4][5] The token exists on the ecosystem and trades on , with Uniswap V4 (Robinhood) identified as its most active venue and POOLS/ as its principal trading pair.[4] [5] [6]
