Anna Liu earned a LLB from Shenzhen University, specializing in the School of Law, and subsequently obtained an LLM at the University of San Francisco School of Law. [1]
Career
Anna Liu commenced her professional career as a Paralegal at Grandway Law Offices, based in Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, from February 2011 to January 2013. [1]
Subsequently, Liu transitioned to the role of Legal Officer at Greka Green Group in Hong Kong SAR, holding a full-time position from February 2013 to December 2013. [1]
From January 2014 to June 2016, Liu joined Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates in Hong Kong, where she served in the L/A Foreign Practice. During her two-and-a-half-year tenure at Skadden she was committed to international legal practice and provided a platform for professional growth. [1]
Following this, Liu assumed the role of Senior Legal Counsel at Tencent, a prominent technology company, from May 2016 to June 2018. During her two-year tenure, she navigated the complex legal landscape of the technology sector, contributing to the legal framework within Tencent. [1]
HashKey Group
In June 2018, Liu transitioned to HashKey Group, assuming the position of Legal Director, a full-time role based in Hong Kong SAR, where she continued to apply her legal expertise and leadership skills for an additional two years and seven months. [1]
In December 2020, she advanced up to the role of Head of Legal at HashKey Group, starting in until July 2023. This position was a leadership role in legal affairs for over two years, contributing to the regulatory and legal aspects of the financial and blockchain-focused organization. [1]
Currently, Anna Liu serves as the General Manager of Tokenisation at HashKey Group, a position she has held since May 2023. In this role, she oversees tokenization initiatives, leveraging her extensive legal background to navigate the evolving landscape of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. [1]
