Career

Herrera began his career as Director of Product Development at Webguerrilla LLC in 2003, where he worked until 2007, overseeing the development of digital products and web technologies. He then joined 3DogMedia LLC as Chief Technology Officer, serving from 2007 to 2010 and leading the company's technology strategy and software development initiatives.

In 2010, Herrera joined BlueGlass Interactive, initially serving as Director of Product Development before being promoted to Vice President of Technology in 2011. During his tenure, which continued until 2013, he managed product development and technology operations for the digital marketing company. In 2013, he co-founded Foundation Digital, where he has served as Vice President of Technology, helping lead the firm's technology strategy and digital consulting services focused on data-driven marketing solutions.

In March 2022, Herrera became Chief Technology Officer of Collector Crypt. In this role, he oversees the platform's technical development, including the blockchain infrastructure and software systems supporting the tokenization, management, and trading of physical collectible assets. ^[2]

​Collector Crypt is a Solana-based platform co-founded by Tuomas Holmberg and Herrera that tokenizes physical collectible assets, primarily professionally graded trading cards, into redeemable NFTs that can be bought, sold, and transferred on-chain while the underlying assets remain securely stored in third-party vaults. The platform combines a blockchain marketplace with a gamified Gacha-style pack system, allowing users to acquire, trade, instantly sell back, or redeem physical collectibles. Its ecosystem is powered by the CARDS utility token, which supports marketplace transactions, pack purchases, and ecosystem incentives.
