Education

Kozlov pursued his studies at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT), earning a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from 2004 to 2008. He continued at MIPT for a Master’s degree from 2008 to 2010, focusing on physics and power engineering in collaboration with the Nuclear Safety Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Career

Kozlov began his professional career with an engineering role at the Nuclear Safety Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where he participated in a university practice program for nearly six years. In early 2010, he worked in the Debt Capital Markets division at Troika Dialog. He then transitioned to the derivatives market, starting with a position in FX/Interest Rates Derivatives Sales from mid-2010 until 2011. From 2011 to 2014, he served as a derivatives structurer at VTB Capital, and he continued in a similar capacity at FG BCS from 2014 to 2016. He returned to VTB Capital in 2016 and worked there as a derivatives structurer until early 2022. In May 2022, Kozlov founded Shadow Startup and remained in that role until December of the same year.
