Jamie Coutts is an Australian market technician and cryptocurrency analyst who serves as Chief Crypto Analyst at Real Vision, the financial media company founded in 2014 and headquartered in New York.[1] He is also the founder of Helios Analytics, a proprietary digital-asset research and consultancy firm.[1]
Jamie Coutts earned a Bachelor of Business in Economics and International Business from Queensland University of Technology (1996–1998). He later completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia (1999–2001), followed by the Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) qualification from the International Federation of Technical Analysts (2002–2006) and the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) qualification from the CMT Association (2012–2013). Coutts joined Bloomberg in 2014 as a Buyside Equity Specialist in Singapore, working with investment and front-office teams on research, quantitative analysis, and ESG-related matters. From January 2022 to October 2023, he served as a Crypto Market Analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence in Sydney, where he helped develop the firm's digital asset research offering. In November 2023, Coutts became Chief Crypto Analyst at Real Vision, where he produces research on digital asset markets through reports, videos, and data-based analysis.
