Jonathan Yu is a business development executive in the fintech and digital asset sectors, primarily based in Singapore. Career

Jonathan Yu's career began with roles outside of finance, including a two-year position as an Organising Executive for the Singapore Youth Olympics Games Organising Committee from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, he gained his first exposure to the financial industry through an internship at Temasek in Singapore. ^{[3] [1]}​

Yu transitioned into a full-time finance role in November 2011, joining ICAP as a Money Broker specializing in Non-Deliverable Forwards. He held this position in Singapore for two years and seven months. Following this, he worked as a Business Development Manager at myWorkflowww from June 2014 to January 2016. He then deepened his experience in traditional finance (TradFi) by moving to Hong Kong to work for BGC Partners. From February 2016 to November 2017, he served as a Money Broker focusing on the Offshore RMB market. In November 2017, Yu pivoted from traditional finance to the fintech sector, joining Chong Sing Holdings FinTech Group in Singapore as a Senior Business Development Manager, a position he held for one year and eight months. He continued in fintech with his next role as an Account Executive at Mambu, where he worked from July 2019 to May 2021. ^[3]​

Yu's direct involvement in the cryptocurrency industry began in May 2021 when he joined Sparrow, a digital asset options trading platform. As an Institutional Sales and Senior Relationship Manager in Singapore, he engaged with institutional clients and sophisticated crypto-native financial products for a period of one year and nine months. In January 2023, he moved to Binance, one of the world's largest centralized exchanges. He then joined Blockdaemon in October 2023 as an APAC Senior Sales Executive. In this role, he was responsible for selling blockchain infrastructure services to clients across the Asia-Pacific region, further broadening his understanding of the technical foundations of the crypto ecosystem. He remained at Blockdaemon until July 2024. ^[3]​

In September 2024, Yu took on his current role as Business Development Director at Circle in Singapore. His primary mandate is to lead and drive the adoption of the USDC stablecoin.
