Early Media Roles

Knight’s professional journey began in London at Bauer Media, a major European media company. He worked as a post room clerk from May to September 2013. In this logistical and administrative role, he was responsible for managing the flow of incoming and outgoing mail and packages, maintaining internal records, and providing general support for office operations and customer service. This position gave him his first experience within the infrastructure of a large media organization.

Following this, Knight began to actively pursue journalism. From September 2013 to May 2014, he worked as a freelance journalist for The Rainbow Gazette in Birmingham. During his time with the publication, he contributed to its early issues and was responsible for conducting interviews, allowing him to develop his reporting and writing skills. In early 2014, Knight secured an editorial internship at the renowned film publication Empire Magazine in London. This internship provided him with direct exposure to the editorial processes of a major magazine. His duties included assisting with detailed research for published articles, participating in editorial planning meetings, and producing his own written work under the guidance of seasoned editors.

In January 2015, Knight took on a role at the electronic music and clubbing publication Mixmag, also in London. As a news writer and editorial assistant, he wrote timely news stories relevant to the magazine's audience and provided crucial support to the editorial team, assisting with research and the development of feature articles. Later that year, Knight shifted his focus to sports journalism, writing for the digital sports media outlet 90min from November 2015 to August 2017. His tenure coincided with a volatile period in the industry, and his work included detailed coverage of the 2018 bear market. During this time, he reported on specific cryptocurrency projects such as Digitex Futures (VERI). Knight also reported from major industry events, providing on-the-ground coverage.
