Serafin Lion Engel is a cryptocurrency entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of Yield.xyz, an institutional-grade yield infrastructure platform for digital assets. He previously founded the mobile multichain wallet Omni, which was acquired in 2024. ^{[1] [2]}​

Education

He attended Draper University in 2014. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration from RSM Erasmus Universiteit, completing the program between 2011 and 2014. ^[1]

Career

Serafin Lion Engel has held roles across data privacy, blockchain, and financial technology. He co-founded Datawallet in 2014, where he worked on early data sovereignty infrastructure and contributed to blockchain development efforts until 2021. He later founded Omni in 2021, a multi-chain wallet project, and led it until its acquisition in 2024.

In 2023, he co-founded Yield.xyz, where he serves as Chief Executive Officer, focusing on infrastructure for accessing and managing yield opportunities across blockchain networks. Alongside his entrepreneurial work, Engel has acted as a data privacy expert for CNBC since 2019 and became a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) in 2015.
