Yong Jae Lee

Yong Jae Lee is a South Korean digital asset executive who is Head of the Digital Asset Department at Mirae Asset Securities. He oversees strategy, business development, and platform development related to stablecoins and asset tokenization. ^[1]

Early Life & Education

Yong Jae Lee completed his education in French Language & Literature at Korea University, graduating in 2010. He studied International Business Operations & Management at UC Irvine in 2008. ^[1]

Career at Mirae Asset Securities

Yong Jae Lee has worked at Mirae Asset Securities since July 2021, when he was appointed Senior Manager. In that role, he identified business opportunities in the digital assets and blockchain industry and led functions including corporate development, human resources, investor relations, and regulatory relations, with emphasis on security token business and stablecoin initiatives. ^[1]

In June 2025, Lee was Team Manager (Head of Digital Asset Solution Team), and in July 2025 he became Head of the Digital Asset Department. In his current role, he is responsible for departmental strategy and business development in digital assets, including stablecoins and asset tokenization. ^[1]

Contributions to Digital Finance

Lee co-founded Mastermind in April 2017, a voluntary organization that conducts in-depth investment research focused on blockchain and cryptocurrencies. ^[1]

He is a co-author of "Next Money," described on his profile as an innovators' guidebook to blockchain and cryptocurrencies, since June 2018. ^[1]
