Interviews

Umia Finance

In an April 2026 interview on the Utopia in Beta podcast, Mosterts discussed decision markets and their use in governance, capital formation, and organizational coordination. He explained how enables projects to issue tokens governed through decision markets, combining onchain mechanisms for enforcing outcomes with an off-chain legal framework that delegates authority and supports enforcement. The discussion covered separating day-to-day management from governance, with decision markets allowing participants to influence strategic decisions such as treasury management. Mosterts also explored potential applications beyond , including AI, Web2 companies, startups, and public goods projects, where shared ownership and market-based decision-making could coordinate participants. He further discussed prediction markets as tools for evaluating future outcomes and described tokens as programmable mechanisms for ownership, value transfer, and governance. [10]

Presentations

How Launchpads Fail

In a May 2026 presentation at ETHPrague, Mosterts discussed the challenges of capital formation for projects and introduced as an onchain venture creation platform. He described as combining four main components: a legal framework using token wrappers, noncustodial onchain treasury management, governance through decision markets, and permissionless fundraising. The platform uses a continuous clearing auction based on CCA mechanism for fundraising, with configurable access and pricing, while decision markets support both operational and strategic governance. Mosterts also explained how the noncustodial treasury can automate operational disbursements and use governance mechanisms to manage parameters such as treasury spending, token supply, and project liquidity. The presentation concluded with a discussion of internet-native and AI-native companies, including models in which capital and governance are distributed among communities and venture operations are managed through programmable onchain systems.
