Paul Brody
Paul R. Brody is the Global Blockchain Leader at the multinational professional services firm Ernst & Young (EY). He is responsible for directing the firm's strategic initiatives and investments in blockchain technology across its consulting, audit, and tax divisions. In addition to his role at EY, Brody serves as the Chair of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), a standards organization focused on developing open, blockchain-based specifications for businesses. Brody has accumulated over two decades of professional experience in consulting and strategy, with a particular focus on the mobile and electronics industries. Prior to joining EY, he served as the Vice President and Global Industry Leader of Electronics at a multinational technology company. [2]
Ernst & Young (EY)
Upon joining Ernst & Young, Brody held a number of leadership roles related to IoT, supply chain, and business strategy before focusing on blockchain technology. He is credited with leading EY's first-ever blockchain strategy engagement. This foundational project involved analyzing the convergence of digital services, payments, and IoT within new business ecosystems. Brody also serves as the Chair of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance. The EEA is a member-driven standards body with a charter to develop open, blockchain-based standards that facilitate interoperability and adoption for enterprises using Ethereum-based technology. [1]
Media Appearances
Brody has authored articles and appeared on numerous podcasts to discuss blockchain technology and its impact on business. In a September 2025 appearance on the Money20/20.tv podcast "The Bank Tellers," he discussed the ongoing convergence of traditional and decentralized finance. He outlined his view that regulatory clarity was accelerating adoption and suggested that traditional banks could leverage their customer relationships as "'portals' into DeFi."
In a keynote address at the Stable Summit in December 2025, Brody detailed his concept of "streaming money." He explained how the combination of blockchain technology and regulated stablecoins would facilitate a global transition to real-time payments, fundamentally changing financial infrastructure and enabling new levels of business efficiency.
