Wiki Cat is a memecoin built on the Binance Smart Chain by Sir Mapy. The token was created to educate its community SMC DAO on understanding the world of cryptocurrencies and adopting it as a mode of payment. Project descriptions characterize the Wiki Cat community’s strength as lying in social consensus and shared values, drawing comparisons with Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.[1][4]
The token was launched on March 20, 2022, and recorded a daily trading volume of $40,000 from an all-time high at a Market Cap of $1.3M by the end of that year.[3][4]

Wiki Cat describes itself as a digital currency that aims to teach people about understanding and adopting cryptocurrencies in a light, fun, and less serious manner.[3][7] Project materials emphasize the strength of its community and describe its value as grounded in social consensus, comparing this to the trajectories of Dogecoin and Shiba Inu.[1][4]
We believe the use case for Wiki Cat lies in the strength of its community that believes in the social consensus of shared value. This is what has taken the likes of Doge and Shiba Inu to billions of dollars in the market value.[1]
Wiki Cat ownership has been renounced. WikiCat is owned by the community. There is no CEO, no VC, or board members pulling the strings in the background. For this reason, no wallet has more than 5% of the token. Funding or contributions are voluntary and ultimately the community gets to decide the future of the project.[1]
According to the project’s documentation, contract ownership was renounced by sending it to a burn address, and the distribution is presented as sufficiently dispersed that no individual wallet controls more than 5% of the total token supply.[1][16] Ongoing coordination and decision-making are organized around the SMC DAO community, which is framed as a decentralized group focused on cryptocurrency education and on guiding Wiki Cat’s future development and outreach initiatives.[7]
The coin was created on the BNB network with a maximum supply of 1,000 Trillion tokens, of which 30% was immediately sent to a burn wallet never to be recovered. The remaining 70% was made available for buying and selling on pancakeswap.[2]
At launch, the liquidity pool for Wiki Cat on PancakeSwap was locked for 2 years using the Unicrypt platform, with project materials stating that, once the lock expired, the liquidity tokens would be sent to a dead wallet.[2][16] In May 2024, the team reported that the locked liquidity had been unlocked and transferred to a burn address, making the original liquidity pool tokens permanently inaccessible to both the founder and the community.[6]
On March 20, 2022, Wiki Cat was created using the Unicrypt platform and immediately the liquidity pool was locked for 2 years. On May 2, 2024, the project announced that the liquidity pool had been unlocked and transferred to a dead wallet address from which they cannot be retrieved or used again.[6] This structure is intended to make the original liquidity permanently inaccessible while the token is used as an educational community asset.[16]
In Q4 2022, Wiki Cat recorded a daily trading volume of $40,000 from an all-time high at a Market Cap of $1.3M by the end of that year.[7]
In Q1 2023, trading volumes grew to over $4M, as well as 30,000 new wallet holders, 15,000 X followers, and 20,000 additional telegram members, making it the most viewed token originating from Africa on CoinmarketCap.[7]
On May 17, 2023, Wiki Cat partnered with Nabox Wallet, a multi-chain web3 platform. The partnership saw Wiki Cat listed on SwapBox and enhanced liquidity and trading options for $WKC token holders.[8]
On June 15, 2023, Wiki Cat partnered with Bubblemaps, an innovative platform that analyzes connections between wallet addresses. The partnership offers a fresh perspective on transparency and token analysis, enabling users to gain insights into the activities and connections of $WKC token holders.[9]
In 2023, Wiki Cat expanded from its initial pancakeswap listing to trade on several centralized exchanges, including DigiFinex,[10] Gate.io,[11] SuperEx,[12] and MEXC.[13] In 2024, the token was listed for spot trading on the African-focused exchange Roqqu.[14] By August 2025, Wiki Cat had also been listed on the WEEX exchange with a WKC/USDT spot trading pair.[15]
The Total supply of Wiki Cat tokens created was 1,000 trillion. After creation, 30% of the total supply (300 Trillion WKC) was burnt. On every transaction completed, a 2% tax is charged: 1% tax on the Wiki Cat purchased goes to the burn wallet, never to be recovered and another 1% tax on the token goes to the fee wallet, which is used to fund ecosystem development.
Wiki Cat has an auto burn feature that burns 1% of every transaction whether it’s a buy, sell, or transfer. As a result of the continuous burn that goes on with every WKC transaction, the circulating supply is always reducing, with documentation in May 2025 reporting a circulating supply of 550 trillion WKC and a total of 447 trillion WKC burned, combining 300 trillion manually burned at launch and 147 trillion removed through automatic burns.[16] These mechanics are presented as reinforcing the project’s long-term community and education focus by gradually increasing the scarcity of tokens held by participants.
On May 9, 2023, $WKC announced its listing on DigiFinex, a Seychelles company headquartered in Singapore.[10]
On June 12, 2023, the team announced that $WKC had been listed on the Gate.io exchange. According to the team, the listing will increase liquidity and trading opportunities for the token.[11]
On June 22, 2023, $WKC was listed on SuperEx, a Web 3.0-based cryptocurrency exchange.[12]
Subsequently, Wiki Cat was listed for spot trading on exchanges including MEXC, Roqqu, and WEEX, with WKC/USDT trading pairs made available on several of these platforms.[13][14][15]
According to the project roadmap, several applications are planned to extend the Wiki Cat ecosystem, including the WikiCat Market website, a general-purpose WikiCat app, and a Wiki Cat Merchant App intended to facilitate payments for goods and services using WKC.[1] The roadmap describes these as future developments rather than live products and presents them as platforms where WKC would function as a transactional or utility token within a marketplace, a broader community-facing application, and merchant-focused payment flows respectively.[1]
