David Seroy is an American growth strategist, researcher, and financial consultant known for his work in the Bitcoin ecosystem and his background in traditional finance. He is the Head of Growth and Strategy at Alpen Labs, a research and development company focused on scaling Bitcoin. [1] [2]
Seroy attended the University of Arizona, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems and Services. He graduated in 2012, equipping him with a technical foundation in data analysis and information systems that he would later apply in his consulting and technology-focused career. [1]
David Seroy has built a career spanning financial consulting, private lending, and blockchain-focused technology development. He began his professional career at Deloitte in 2012, working as a Consultant and later as a Senior Consultant until 2015. During his time at the firm, he conducted data-driven analyses to identify revenue leakage, supported clients in recovering underpayments related to licensing and third-party agreements, and managed complex forensic and compliance investigations across the technology, consumer products, and telecommunications sectors in both U.S. and international markets.
In 2016, Seroy founded Old North Capital Fund, a private lending firm that provided asset-based, short-term financing to real estate investors in North Carolina. As founder, he oversaw the firm’s operations, strategy, and lending activities. The company was later acquired by The Loan Store, Inc. in 2022.
In April 2024, Seroy joined Alpen Labs, a research and development company focused on expanding Bitcoin infrastructure through zero-knowledge technology. In a growth and ecosystem-oriented role, he is involved in strategy development, community engagement, and efforts related to Bitcoin scaling, zero-knowledge proofs, and decentralized finance applications on the Bitcoin network.
