James Poole
James Poole is one of the founders of the Renzo Protocol, a liquid staking token and strategy manager for EigenLayer. [1]
Education
Poole graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2004 with a degree in Software Engineering. He then received his MBA from the UCF College of Business in 2007. [1]
Career
Poole started his tech career as a principal software engineer at Symantec, where he worked for seven years. In 2010, he held the same position at RSA, The Security Division of EMC, until 2015 before becoming a software engineering manager for one year. [1]
In April 2015, Poole co-founded PopChest, a video-on-demand service powered by Bitcoin, and served as CTO for one year. Afterward, he founded eSixteen.co, a provider of services on top of the 21.co computing network. In December 2016, Poole became a founding engineer for Gen Life, an R&D center for blockchain, AI, and intelligent contracts. [1]
Poole co-founded TokenSoft Inc., a technology and security platform, where he served as CTO until September 2022. In June 2023, he became a founding contributor to the Renzo Protocol alongside Lucas Kozinski and Kratik Lodha. [1]
