Dutch Blockchain Week (DBW) is an annual week-long series of events in the Netherlands focused on blockchain technology, Web3, and digital assets.[1] Held primarily in Amsterdam, the event serves as a B2B platform that brings together a global community of financial institutions, regulators, investors, developers, corporate professionals, and Web3 pioneers. The eighth edition, Dutch Blockchain Week 2026 (DBW26), took place from June 22–28, 2026 in Amsterdam, with its main summit held on June 24–25, 2026 at the Johan Cruijff Arena.[3]
Dutch Blockchain Week is organized as a week-long series of activities rather than a single conference. The format is designed to connect a diverse international audience of decision-makers and professionals involved in the digital economy. For its eighth edition in 2026, the week ran from June 22–28, 2026 in Amsterdam, anchored by the Dutch Blockchain Week Summit on June 24–25, 2026 at the Johan Cruijff Arena.[3] The central feature of the week is a multi-day summit that includes keynotes, panel discussions, and in-depth sessions on topics such as asset tokenization, regulatory compliance, market infrastructure, and digital payments.
Alongside the main summit, more than 40 community-driven side events and additional conferences take place, including hackathons, networking gatherings, award ceremonies, and smaller, focused meetups. The event series targets a professional audience, including institutions, founders, and policymakers, with the aim of supporting collaboration and development within the European blockchain ecosystem. The organizers describe Dutch Blockchain Week as a week dedicated to digital assets, blockchain, and institutional Web3.
Dutch Blockchain Week 2027 is scheduled to take place from May 17–23, 2027 in Amsterdam. The Dutch Blockchain Week Summit (DBW Summit) will be held on May 19–20, 2027 at the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam. The organizers describe the series as one of Europe’s leading business events for digital assets, blockchain, and Web3, bringing together professionals from exchanges, banks, payment providers, funds, market makers, regulators, infrastructure companies, and global technology firms.
At the center of the week, the DBW Main Summit is presented as a two-day gathering focused on high-level content, business development, and networking. It offers panels, deep-dive sessions, and Web3-focused programming aimed at institutions, founders, policymakers, and other professionals involved in digital assets.
Dutch Blockchain Week was founded in 2019, with its public presence established in April of that year.[2] Since its inception, the event has expanded its program and partnerships over successive editions, adapting to global circumstances and adjusting its focus to meet the needs of the blockchain industry.
The inaugural event in 2019 was a small gathering at the Venturerock Office in Amsterdam, intended to connect the local Dutch blockchain ecosystem. A key event during the first series was an interoperability meetup held on June 7, 2019, which featured speakers from hybrix, VodafoneZiggo, and Unibright.[2]
In 2020, the second edition expanded its format, transitioning to a hybrid online–offline model in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This edition was hosted at the ABN AMRO Headquarters in Amsterdam and included the Dutch Blockchain Awards, organized in partnership with Computable.nl and BCNL.[2] The hybrid format continued for the third edition in 2021, which used three separate studios to broaden its international reach.
The fourth edition in 2022, held at the EY office in Amsterdam, focused on building partnerships with exchanges, regulators, and fintech leaders. In 2023, the event was hosted at ASML in Eindhoven, with discussions centering on tokenization, compliance, and market evolution. A significant development occurred in 2024 when Dutch Blockchain Days merged with Dutch Blockchain Week. This consolidation created a single, unified event at the Meervaart in Amsterdam that brought together thousands of professionals from finance, technology, and Web3 sectors. The seventh edition in 2025 continued at the Meervaart in Amsterdam.
The eighth edition of Dutch Blockchain Week took place from June 22–28, 2026 in Amsterdam. Themed "Beyond Borders," this edition was one of the largest to date and featured two multi-day conferences: the Dutch Blockchain Week Summit and the Litecoin Summit. The flagship DBW Summit took place on June 24–25, 2026 at the Johan Cruijff ArenA and offered two full days of panels, deep dives, and networking for institutions, founders, policymakers, and professionals involved in digital assets.[3] Across the week, DBW26 hosted more than 40 side events alongside these summits, featuring participation from exchanges, banks, regulators, market makers, funds, and other institutional Web3 and digital asset organizations.
Ticketing for the 2026 summit was structured around several categories—Pro, VIP, Student, and a Combi ticket that provided access to both the Dutch Blockchain Week Summit and the Litecoin Summit.[3] These tickets were offered in tiered phases, including pre-sale, early bird, and later sales periods, with a focus on professional and institutional participants.[3]
The seventh edition of Dutch Blockchain Week took place from May 19–25, 2025, in Amsterdam.[2] This edition continued the event's scaling efforts, featuring over 40 side events, including hackathons and award ceremonies, alongside the main summit at the Meervaart.
Key highlights from the 2025 event included:

Dutch Blockchain Week is composed of several distinct components that run throughout the week, creating a structured experience for attendees.[1]
Access to the main summits is managed through tiered ticketing, with Pro, VIP, Student, and Combi tickets available.[3] Pro and Student tickets provide access to core summit content, VIP tickets add hospitality and access to a dedicated lounge and VIP Night, and Combi tickets grant entry to both the Dutch Blockchain Week Summit and the Litecoin Summit. Ticket sales are organized into phased periods such as pre-sale, early bird, and subsequent tiers.[3]
