Early Life & Education

Adeniyi Abiodun, originally from Nigeria, relocated to the UK with his family at the age of 7. After spending most of his life in London, he currently resides in San Francisco. Adeniyi earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Queen Mary, University of London, graduating in 2005. Career

As of January 2024, Adeniyi Abiodun serves as Co-founder and Chief Product Officer (CPO) at , with a focus on contributing to foundational infrastructure for the advancement of adoption. His involvement began in November 2021, aligning with ' mission to accelerate the adoption of technologies.

Previously, Adeniyi played a key role as a Product Lead at Meta in Menlo Park, California, for over 2 years. His work involved leading various crypto infrastructure products at Facebook (Meta), including the establishment of the Novi Crypto Platform team.

Before joining Meta, Adeniyi held positions such as Head of Product for at VMware and Architect for Cloud Platform at . His entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding PeerNova Inc. and CloudHashing, where he aimed to contribute to product development and establish a prominent cloud mining service in the space. Prior to entrepreneurship, Adeniyi gained experience in senior engineering and software roles at HSBC, J.P. Morgan, Syncova Solutions, and Zencus International in London, United Kingdom.[5][3][7]

During his time at Meta, Adeniyi Abiodun was part of a team working on Libra, a project with the goal of facilitating easy and free money transfers accessible within chat messages or regular internet usage. Although the project did not launch as envisioned, the team believed they had made substantial progress technically. Recognizing the unfulfilled potential of the mission, the team, which included members like , , and , decided to contribute to the realization of their vision by actively participating in the creation of a fully decentralized infrastructure outside of Facebook.[8]

Adeniyi Abiodun, alongside four other Diem crypto project veterans from Facebook, co-founded , a company developing the . Founded in September 2021, publicly introduced the project on March 22, 2022. With a primary focus on gaming, aims to enhance digital asset ownership on a public ledger, emphasizing its unique full composability for innovative collaborations. , an L1 decentralized , is tailored for latency-sensitive applications, inspired by Meta Corporation's unsuccessful Diem blockchain. Utilizing a modified Move language, implements a algorithm with stacking and delegation, incorporating Narwhal and Bullshark protocols for scalability. [6][9][8] Abiodun mentioned during Sei AMA:
