Rachel Lin
Rachel Lin (also known as Rong Lin) is a finance executive and entrepreneur who is the co-founder and chief executive officer of SynFutures, a decentralized derivatives trading platform.[1] She is based in Hong Kong and works in the blockchain industry, having built her career across traditional finance (TradFi), internet finance, and centralized and decentralized crypto markets.[2]
教育背景
Lin studied economics at Peking University in China from 2005 to 2009, earning a Bachelor of Arts with honours.[2] She then pursued a Master of Financial Engineering at the National University of Singapore between 2009 and 2010.[2] During her studies in Singapore she was awarded the RMI Full Scholarship, a distinction granted to only two students each year.[2]
Lin holds professional registrations that reflect her cross-market finance background, including entry on the FSA (UK) Register and a pass in Singapore's CMFAS examination.[2]
职业生涯
Lin's career spans traditional investment banking, fintech, and both centralized and decentralized cryptocurrency ventures, a progression that has taken her from structured derivatives at a global bank to founding a decentralized exchange. [1]
Lin began her career at Deutsche Bank, where she was a Vice President from July 2010 to April 2015, a tenure of about four years and nine months.[2] She worked in the FICC (fixed income, currencies and commodities) structured derivatives area within the bank's Global Markets division, specializing in derivatives.[2][3]
From May 2015 to July 2018, Lin was a Senior Manager at Alipay in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, a tenure of about three years and two months.[2] Her work there included projects in blockchain for cross-border payments and a Global FX Center, giving her direct experience with large-scale blockchain payment systems within one of the world's largest fintech companies.[2]
Lin moved into the crypto hardware sector as Head of the Blockchain Business Department at Bitmain, the Beijing-headquartered producer of ASIC bitcoin mining hardware, from September 2018 to January 2019.[2]
Matrixport
In February 2019 Lin co-founded Matrixport, where she served as a Founding Partner and Vice President with the title Head of Lending and DeFi.[2] Matrixport, headquartered in Singapore, provides institutional digital asset trading, custody, asset and wealth management, liquidity and financing, and real-world asset (RWA) solutions, and has been described in press coverage as one of Asia's largest crypto neobanks.[2][3]
While at Matrixport, Lin was associated with a lending product launched jointly with Bitmain in early 2020, publicized as offering zero-interest loans, no liquidation risk, meltdown protection, and flexible customization.[2]
SynFutures
Since 2020, Lin has worked to make crypto derivatives accessible to wider audiences through SynFutures, the decentralized derivatives trading platform she co-founded and leads as CEO.[1][5] The platform enables decentralized trading of derivatives on the blockchain rather than through a centralized intermediary.[6] She co-founded the company alongside Matthew Liu, who serves as its co-founder and chief strategy officer (CSO).[5]
